Salary: FTE salary circa A£28,000 per annum (actual salary circa A£13,000 per annum)
Hours: Part-time 22 hours per week during term time, plus additional hours during holidays

The Role
The Art and Design Technician plays a crucial role in the Art Department, providing essential technical support to ensure the smooth running of practical lessons and studio spaces. This role is ideal for an individual who is hands-on, proactive, and passionate about fostering creativity in pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare materials and resources for design projects and practical lessons.
* Supervise students to ensure safe practices when working in the Studio.
* Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organised workspace.
* Assist in setting up exhibitions and displays of student work.
* Support teachers in delivering a vibrant and innovative Art curriculum.
Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant experience in a comparable role with strong practical skills in art and design.
* Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of art materials, tools and equipment, with the ability to instruct pupils on the correct use of these.
* A proactive mindset with a positive attitude and a passion for working with young people.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
