Midwest Compressor Systems is looking for motivated, mechanically inclined individuals to join our Field Services team. Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, we have a place for you. As a Field Technician, you'll be the boots on the ground-keeping natural gas compression systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What You'll Do
Depending on your level (I, II, or III), you'll:
Inspect, maintain, and repair natural gas compressors Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Travel to customer sites and build strong relationships Install and commission new units (Tech II & III) Use diagnostic tools and interpret technical documents Keep your field service truck and equipment in top shape Submit daily maintenance reports and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Requirements:
Who We're Looking For
Field Tech I
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills Willingness to travel and work flexible hours Strong communication and customer service skills
Field Tech II
All of the above, plus: 1-2 years of experience with natural gas compression equipment Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge
Field Tech III
All of the above, plus: 3-5 years of field service experience in compressors Preferred Skills (Not Required, But a Big Plus!) Industry certifications or training in natural gas compression Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) training Diesel mechanic or HVAC experience Why Join Midwest Compressor Systems? Compensation details: 19-32 Hourly Wage
