Manual Packaging Operator IOrwell, OHShift: Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3PM
 

Key Job Responsibilities

-Scope inserts to verify visual characteristics.
-Scan correct production information. Set up printer and verify labels, numbers and product amounts match route card information.
-Select correct tray style. Separate heats.
-Transfer material from trays or rods onto conveyer belt.
-Verify printing on insert, pack into trays, apply label, Snap insert trays together in groups of 100, 50, or 25, depending on tray size.
-Run lidder/ labeler, program change over for Image Unites, perform basic machine changeovers and routine maintenance task, as well as basic troubleshooting.
-Basic housekeeping responsibilities.

-Required to follow inspection control plan.
-Ability to verify product defects.
-Work to meet daily departmental production goals.
-Communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members and across shifts. 
 

Education and Experience:

style="list-style-type:disc"-
-Must have High School diploma or GED.
-Ability to perform basic math.
-Ability to use a personal computer and SAP MII software, access QMS to verify procedures and defect criteria.
-Able to handle inserts with fingers without chipping. Understand proper use of 30X Microscope.
-Ability to communicate verbally.
-Able to read and understand routing, insert identification manual and operating procedures. 
-Must be reliable and dependable. Requires accuracy critical to customer satisfaction.
-Possess ability to work within a team 
 

Work Environment

Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems.  Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety Shoes are required.  Gloves, cut resistant gloves when necessary.

Physical Demands:

Approximately eight hours standing with two break opportunities per eight hour work period.  Intermittent walking, reaching, sitting and bending. Lifting insert trays weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds
