Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Commercial Real Estate sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of building maintenance. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of our commercial properties.

Job Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of problems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs performed. Collaborate with contractors and vendors to coordinate specialized repairs and maintenance services. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Assist in the management of building systems, including energy management and environmental controls. Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and address their maintenance concerns professionally.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in a related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a commercial real estate setting Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to be on-call for emergencies and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards Basic computer skills, including familiarity with maintenance management software
Compensation details: 20-25 Hourly Wage
