About the Role: The Branch Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the credit union branch, ensuring efficient service delivery, operational compliance, and financial growth. They will supervise team members, enhance member satisfaction, and drive branch goals related to loans, deposits, and membership. Responsibilities include team member training, performance management, and fostering a strong sales and service culture. The Branch Manager will also play a key role in community engagement, building relationships with members, and contributing to the credit union's strategic objectives.

Assume responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of branch operations, including branch service/sales, supporting the overall objective of the credit union to provide exceptional service
Provide direct assistance to the Regional Branch Manager in several key capacities; take the lead within the branch operations for branch technology such as Meridian Link, Lobby Management systems, zoom service appointments, Ensenta scanning, etc.,
Responsible for supervising the Assistant Branch Manager's (ABM) work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations
Ensure operations are conducted by established Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements
In partnership with the ABM and/or the Operations Supervisor (OS)/Member Service Consultant III (MSCIII), ensure branch security and security training: open and close the building by set hours and test security equipment quarterly
Develop and promote branch business development activities and seek to broaden member base; guide the team to cross-sell Credit Union services and deepen member relationships effectively
Lead and develop a team to enthusiastically embrace a sales and service environment; develop, communicate, and achieve established team and individual goals for the branch
Implement changes to established policies and procedures within the branch
Assume responsibility for maintaining proper cash controls; ensure all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day
Oversee individual accountability for the handling of cash and assist MSRs in resolving balance problems
Control and handle daily deposits by established policies and procedures
Overall responsibility for the branch team members' development, coaching, and guidance; provide leadership through effective objective setting and communication
Ensure high-quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained; determine work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks
Periodically perform cash audits in possession of MSRs and vault cash on the premises
Conduct regular meetings with branch team members to inform and train; discuss areas needing improvement and changes in procedure; perform cross-training as necessary
Conduct weekly meetings with the branch management team to coordinate activities for the following week; determine appropriate staffing levels
Attend assigned training sessions and stay current on new operational procedures
Track individual progress and conduct performance reviews with each team member and complete appraisals annually; formulate and implement corrective actions as needed; recommend promotions for team members as appropriate
Approve all sick leave, vacation, overtime, and timecards for each branch team member; maintain accurate payroll and attendance records
Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members and ensure the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected
Ensure current member accounts are maintained or expanded and consult members regarding their financial needs and services
Ensure members are informed of Credit Union services and policies
Responsible for branch operations are well coordinated with accounting, loan processing, and credit functions; manage and oversee expenses; pursue cost-saving measures
Continually seek ways to improve branch operations and productivity and to meet established goals
Prepare periodic branch activity reports accurately and timely; make recommendations to management for improvements
In collaboration with Facilities, ensure proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out
Keep management informed of branch activities, progress toward established objectives, and any significant problems; request assistance when necessary
Assume responsibility for related functions; fill in and perform duties in branch positions as needed; perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Education Requirements:
College degree preferable or equivalent combined education and work experience of a minimum of three years additional college coursework in business or finance preferred
At least three to five years of related experience in a financial institution (Credit Union preferred), with a minimum of two years of recent supervisory/management experience
Thorough knowledge of Credit Union services and products and understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with branch functions, policies, and procedures is required
Desirable certifications in the following areas:
NMLS
IRA Certified
