The Role

The Director, Hotel Integration – Field Openings & Engagement is a key leadership role that assists in defining team objectives and works closely with Hotel Owners and Operators to ensure the timely opening of properties.  The Director will assist in determine which properties will leverage the field openings process and will make recommendations to Sales and Brand leadership concerning key opening and operational decisions for the property.  This involves coordinating and collaborating with Franchise Sales & Development, Contract Administration, Distribution Launch, Quality Assurance/Conversion, Architecture, Design & Construction, IT, Wyndham Sales including GSO, key Brand Leaders and other internal departments to ensure Wyndham services are provided effectively and in a timely manner to the franchisee.  The Director, Hotel Integration assists the property in launching initial sales efforts and helping the property make key decisions that have financial impact for property performance and for Wyndham royalties.  The Director, Hotel Integration is responsible for managing the opening pipeline and forecast for the properties they open.  In addition, the position has responsibility for reviewing, updating and managing property information in Salesforce.

What you'll do

Openings execution

-Lead all required tasks and efforts that are required to ensure the effective and efficient opening of a property.  Operate autonomously in the field to resolve issues and coordinate with internal departments to assist in overcoming roadblocks and maintaining quality service provided to the property.  Provide recommendations to Brand and Sales management concerning relationship management and property distribution/sales launch.
New property sales

-Helping new properties identify corporate, group or other GSO business, develop a sales plan and initiate the execution of that plan.  Impact initial performance of the property, driving the growth of Wyndham royalties. Wyndham Sales education, account pairing, and orchestrating the connectivity between property sales associates and our GSO, sales tools, resources and reporting.
Relationship Development

-Manage openings effectively to enhance the relationship with franchisee owners and property management.  Be the key focal point for new property owners as they begin their relationship with Wyndham.  Operate in the field, making key decisions as needed and following-through to ensure fulfillment of commitments.  Hand off properties successfully to the appropriate Franchise Operations designee.
Team Objectives/Process Improvement

-Assist in setting Hotel Integration goals that define the quantity and quality of new properties brought into the system.  Drive the improvement of Key Openings process areas.  Evaluate process steps, analyze data and assist in designing and implementing process changes.

You'll be successful if you have
-Project management - Strong problem solving and project execution skills.  Demonstrate ability to multi-task and drive operational change.  Be able to operate autonomously in the field to make key decisions and get results.
-Property Sales – Be able to develop, plan and initiate a property-level sales plan.  Understand tools and resources needed to evaluate a geographic market and use the results to identify opportunities.  Drive new property performance, resulting in increased Wyndham royalty.
-Business Analysis – Review property openings data, identify opportunities and the root cause of issues to ensure process success.
-Indirect Leadership – Provide leadership within Hotel Integration and across multiple departments to assist with identifying opportunities and resolving challenges related to the openings process and positively influencing property performance.
-Communication –   Coordinate with Sales and Brand leadership to ensure consistent, clear communication to the franchisee.  Design, develop and manage operational reporting that drives company performance.
 

Required Qualifications/Experience
-Minimum 10 years management experience in hotel industry in various departments (Sales, Front Office, F&B, Revenue Mgmt.) at various levels (SM, DOS, FD, AGM, GM or Regional).
-Minimum 3 years hands on hospitality property-level sales.
-Knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce is a plus.
-Travel is expected to be 60-80%.

Compensation & Benefits

For U.S. based positions only, the expected pay range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 annually.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation such as work location, background, experience, and performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

In addition to the base pay, this role is eligible to receive an incentive payment pursuant to the Annual Incentive Plan with a 20% annual target, subject to the terms of the Plan.
